Aviate Navigate Communicate
Welcome to
Black Sheep Aeronautical

Black Sheep:
An individual whose distinct nature sets them apart within a collective—often marginalized for diverging perspectives or unconventional interests. The black sheep embodies the courage to think differently, guided by an inner compass that resists conformity and reveals the tension between individuality and belonging. The Black Sheep walks a path few dare to tread. Marked not by rebellion, but by vision, they stand apart—misread by the herd, yet guided by conviction. Their difference is not defiance, but discovery: the courage to think beyond, to question the rhythm of the flock, and to honor the truth that individuality is the birthplace of evolution.

Taylor-Wright Project
Charles Edward Taylor is aviation's first aircraft mechanic. Mr. Taylor served as the Wright brothers' mechanic and is credited with designing and building the engine for their first successful aircraft. Orville and Wilbur Wright are credited with inventing and flying the world's first successful airplane. They made the first controlled, sustained flight of an engine-powered, heavier-than-air aircraft with the Wright Flyer on December 17, 1903. Black Sheep Aeronautical hopes to bring honor to these legacies by building the club's first aircraft available to its members. With this project, we hope to inspire aviators to find new ways of achieving goals and to accept the challenges of life with grace as we make our way to the skies, one bolt and rivet at a time.
